Alumicraft Street Rods Grilles congratulates Nick Pinto for being a Detroit Autorama Great 8 Finalist.
We are also proud to be chosen by Nick that he used one of our chromed ‘40 Ford Standard grilles for use on his car.
If you want any help on the history of the car, it was [most recently] built by Custom Cars Unlimited of LaGrange IL. I was working there at the time. It was already a custom job when Nick bought it, but done in the the 80s maybe – really bad stuff under everything. The MiniCooper headlights are new, as well as oval billet taillights, plus fiberglass grille shell & peaked fenders all around & fabbed interior pieces. I was in the bodyshop during the blocking & such. Unbelievable amount of hours in metalwork and body.Just realizing all the pix I had of the construction of this car are gone from the computer-trying to search my pic CDs. Aw man!!
Okay, I did find one! If you wanna see a pic of the front end under construction, look at the ‘Vehicles’ list at my garage.
