Me doing a smoke show in my alley 1979

If you have pictures from your old street racing days or pics of you doing burn outs with you early cars it would be great to see them. Post em if you got them.

I found a box of old pictures the other day and found this classic pic from the back in the day.

This was my first car it had a 283 powerglide in it when I got it.

By the time this pic was shot it had an overbored 283 to 301 with a Muncie 4 speed. It was fairly quick it always needed lower gears. but it was a fun car.

I used to shift that car at 7200 RPM it had a solid lfter Engle cam in it with worked over 1.94 heads and 10 to 1 compression.

I finally blew the clutch disc apart and it went through the bell housing, but luckily got caught in the aluminum. I still have the chunk of metal today.

I sold this car in August 1979, and the guy street raced it for a couple of more years then sold it and I lost track of the car.
Love to hear other Hubsters stories of Street Racing in the day. KK

cool picture! the ‘67 was a great body style, I dig the SS
hood and grille emblem!
I’m your age, and have a ton of street racing stories, growing up in So. Cal. I’m currently digging up some old photos to post,
