New R&C Mag coverage
There is a nice full color feature of a 1941 Cadillac custom project I did in the newest issue (December 2008) that is currently on the stands.
The one thats on the stands even has it in the upper right cover!
Its got four pages. The article does read like a history article, as the car was a very historic custom built “back in the Day” by Harry Westergard, had been through many hands and was bought to have restored and to fit nicely in one of the worlds greatest custom car collectors stable, Kurt and Amy McCormick from Missouri. It says I painted it, which is cool, but I also did the frame boxing all the body work and painting, and a big majority of the wiring and mechanicals. The body work was very, very major, as modern day fit, finish and quality far outweighs the results back in the 1940’s and 1950’s. The interior was partially done by Carrie (my Wife) here at the shop, and we brought in Jamie from Jamies Upholstry from Washington state to do the Carson cloth top recreation and had Dave Martinez from Indy, come in the shop to do the awesome tuck n roll interior.
The car spent over a year in the shop here, and was a pleasure to work on such a historic project and to work for such great custom owners and collectors.
